Scott Thurber has worked for more than 30 years with senior executives and top decision-makers at more than 50 companies, addressing challenges and opportunities they face, helping them grow as leaders and achieve personal fulfillment.
Scott combines deep experience in sales, marketing and strategy execution with a genuine passion for helping people and our community. He has held multiple positions in large and mid-size corporations and has helped many small business leaders more than double their companies’ growth.
Scott was a Senior Strategy Consultant at SAIC, a leading technology integrator; Director of e-Diagnostics Marketing at semiconductor supplier Helix Technology; and he held progressively responsible roles at Fortune 250 manufacturer Air Products and Chemicals, most recently as International Business Manager.
He founded consultancy Advantech Business Builders in 2005 to assist client companies with developing and deploying market entry strategies. Client companies include large companies such as Yamaha Motors and McGraw Hill Education, medium companies such as EnerSys, and small closely held businesses such as VR Industries and NMC.
Since 2007 Scott has served senior executives and business owners as a chair of CEO peer groups with Vistage Worldwide, the world’s leading chief executive organization; and as an executive coach and facilitator for extraordinary business owners, senior executives and CEOs who are committed to their companies’ and their own personal growth.
Members of Scott’s group have won Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies; PBN Fastest Growing Companies; PBN Most Innovative Companies; PBN Overall Manufacturer Excellence, and PBN Business Excellence Award for Leadership. In 2019 alone 5 of Scott’s members won PBN’s Best Places to Work awards.
Scott received a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Bucknell University and an M.B.A. from Lehigh University. He holds a professional coaching certification with CBMC.
Scott is also a recipient of the prestigious Vistage Chair Excellence Award for his outstanding contribution to his members.
